Scrin

The Scrin are an alien race that have been long dormant on their starship on the edge of the Earth solar system. This would have been the case until Tiberium on Earth had reached a state where it would have destroyed the native life and awakened the Scrin to begin harvesting operations.

This was not the case as Kane, the leader of the Brotherhood of Nod, helped in detonating a liquid Tiberium bomb which prematurely awakened the Scrin. They began deploying operations to harvest the 'Ichor'; which the native Humans know as Tiberium. However, they would face an unprecedented amount of resistance and the Scrin forces were forced into a holding action. They would deploy their shock forces to attack major cities to distract the natives while they continued harvesting operations overseen by the Foremen.

It quickly became apparent to the Scrin Supervisors that their harvesting operations were a mistake as they had become effectively stranded on the hostile world. They would make attempts to produce numbers transmission towers to signal their mothership in order to escape. Though a majority oftheir attempts were thwarted, the Scrin forces did manage to escape whereupon they informed the Overlord of the situation. It was decided that a full scale invasion of Earth would be called upon to deal with the situation.
