Tai-Sa Shin Yodama

Tai-Sa Shin Yodama is one of Hohiro Kurita's closest friends. He helped Hohiro escape from the planet of Turtle Bay when the Smoke Jaguars took the world. Yodama was a member of the local Yakuza, a group who would normally be looked down on by the nobility in the Draconis Combine. Hohiro was imprisoned in the City of Edo, his identity not known to his captors.

Shin Yodama helped him to escape and through his Yakuza contacts managed to get Hohiro offworld. Yodama later joined back up with Hohiro and holds high rank which initially rankled Hohiro's grandfather Takashi, and even made the more liberal Theodore wary. He has since proven his worth many times over and remains loyal not just to Hohiro but to the Combine as a whole.
